WHAT IS SIDE BAG CLOSING?
Side bag closing is an important step but often overlooked.
Side bag closing is to use a thin amount of molten glue to attach the inner cover to the first and last page.
Although side bag closing is a small application compared to book binding, it plays an important role for two reasons:
- Help create a inner hinge on the cover that reduces the pressure on the back of the book when the book is bent or opened.
- Bring a perfect look to the book.
